Information and Resources for Parents of Current and Prospective Honor Society Members
Welcome to the Parent Zone on www.nhs.us – a collection of links and resources designed for parents of high school and middle level students who are either members of the Honor Societies or are interested in becoming members.

Appeals and Non-Selection Issues: The Notice to Parents provides an overview of suggestions for parents when responding to problems experienced with a local chapter of NHS or NJHS.
Complaints: If a chapter’s policies and procedures are in conflict with the NHS or NJHS Constitutions, and/or the policies contained in the national handbooks, complaints may be filed against the chapter. View the NHS and NJHS Complaint Form and Procedures.
Discipline and Dismissal of Members: Once inducted, members of NHS or NJHS have rights outlined for them in Article 10 of the National Constitutions.

Scholarships and Awards: The national office and our sponsoring organization, NASSP*, provide a variety of scholarship and award programs for students, chapters, advisers, and schools. Find out more in our “Scholarships and Awards” section. Additional resources can also be found through your school’s guidance office and through a variety of free, online services.
Special Products for Parents: Whether you're looking for something that says "I'm proud of my Honor Society student!" or for a special item to present to your child as an indicator of that pride, the Honor Society Store has a variety of products available just for you.
The chapter adviser will receive the student/parent login codes in the Adviser Card mailing from the national office (distribution begins in August for those chapters that renewed by the June 30 deadline). The code will allow you access to our online store, www.nhs.us/store or www.njhs.us/store.
