Food Drive

Support of our local food pantry is a constant service our Student Council undertakes. In November, the Student Council ran its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive for the 14 consecutive year. Food was collected in November for families in need with an emphasis on providing a Thanksgiving meal for them, complete with the turkey, stuffing and all the trimmings. Boxes for fifty families were filled and delivered to the Sparta Food Pantry. To kick off the Food Drive we held an all-school assembly and… Read More »

Memphis High School
Memphis, MI

Dangers of Drixting. That's 'driving and texting,' which was the subject of a live demonstration sponsored by the Memphis High School NHS chapter. A donated wrecked car and a visit by the Fire Department to a mock accident scene helped chapter members emphasize the dangers of drixting to their peers.

Lindenhurst Middle School
Lindenhurst, NY

Creative Cards that Care. NJHS chapter members from Lindenhurst Middle School recently made cards and collected supplies to share with patients at a local hospital. Chapter members designed unique cards and delivered them to patients in early January, a time when the number of visitors typically declines.

Three Rivers High School
Three Rivers, TX

NHS members at Three Rivers High School recently raised money for two women fighting breast cancer. Chapter members designed and sold pink t-shirts displaying their school mascot. Local businesses even bought shirts for their employees in support of the project. In the end, they raised more than $4,000, and earned honors from the local school board.
