Brooklawn's Intense Games (B.I.G. Night)

Also called "B.I.G. Night", this event has been recognized as a NJASC Top Ten Project in January 2001 and a NASC National Spotlight Award in 2005. Dangers of Drixting. That's 'driving and texting,' which was the subject of a live demonstration sponsored by the Memphis High School NHS chapter. A donated wrecked car and a visit by the Fire Department to a mock accident scene helped chapter members emphasize the dangers of drixting to their peers.

Lindenhurst Middle School
Lindenhurst, NY

Creative Cards that Care. NJHS chapter members from Lindenhurst Middle School recently made cards and collected supplies to share with patients at a local hospital. Chapter members designed unique cards and delivered them to patients in early January, a time when the number of visitors typically declines.

Three Rivers High School
Three Rivers, TX

NHS members at Three Rivers High School recently raised money for two women fighting breast cancer. Chapter members designed and sold pink t-shirts displaying their school mascot. Local businesses even bought shirts for their employees in support of the project. In the end, they raised more than $4,000, and earned honors from the local school board.
